MgA. Eliška Kaplický Fuchsová

Czech film producer and cultural manager with more than 20 years of experience. She studied production at FAMU and completed internships in Brussels, London, and Paris. Since 2000, she has led SIMPLY CINEMA, with titles including Václav and Eye Over Prague.

She leads the Kaplicky Centre Foundation and Kaplicky Creative Centre at Villa Čerych, where she oversees the legacy of Jan Kaplický. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the VIZE 97 Foundation and a former evaluator for the National Accreditation Bureau.

From 2014 to 2018, she served as an elected representative and chaired the Culture Committee, where she championed a 2% allocation for art, the revitalization of the riverfront embankments, and the restoration of Clam-Gallas Palace, while also helping initiate the Prague Audiovisual Fund.

Mgr. Jozef Lucák

Jozef is a manager with a passion for law, culture, and creativity. Alongside his law studies at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague, complemented by criminology, legislative studies, and practical experience as a court clerk and lay judge, he also worked in advertising agencies such as McCann & Erickson, where he developed expertise in strategic communication. In legal practice at Havel & Partners and later as an advisor to Prague City Hall, he focused on project management, legislation, and the public sector.

Since 2018, he has served as Director of the Kaplicky Centre Foundation, where he oversees the legacy of Jan Kaplický and leads the transformation of Villa Čerych in Česká Skalice into the Kaplicky Creative Centre. His vision is to connect innovation, culture, and community in ways that create a vibrant environment for young talent and for the wider region, drawing on his experience across creativity, law, and public administration.

Film critic and program curator of Kaplicky Boutique Cinema

He studied Film Theory and History at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno. He hosts the podcast The Good, the Bad and the Critical and works as program curator for Kaplicky Boutique Cinema. He has written for Cinema, Cinepur, Aktuálně.cz, and Respekt, created the TV Arts program Siréna for Czech Television, and served as editor-in-chief of Kinobox. He currently publishes primarily in Deník N and Heroine. He received the Zlatá křepelka award in 2013. In 2004, he contributed to the book David Lynch: The Dark Sides of the Soul. In 2024, he published the three-volume book Very Late Afternoon, exploring changing understandings of human sexuality.
